Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the BackOffice team and ensure the quality of backend applications throughout their development cycle. The selected person will be responsible for defining the testing strategy, validating functionalities, detecting risks before development and collaborating with the product, infrastructure and business teams to ensure stable and high-quality releases.
Responsibilities:
Define and manage the team's QA strategy, including test plans, checklists and test cases.
Measure and analyze product quality using relevant metrics and indicators.
Report the status of testing, detected risks and quality plans to teams and stakeholders.
Review functional requirements to identify potential gaps, risks, or ambiguities prior to development.
Lead QA activities during releases and monitor application behavior in production.
Detect, analyze and track incidents until resolution.
Validate information directly in databases as part of the testing process.
Collaborate with the product, infrastructure and business teams to guarantee the quality of the solutions developed.
Perform product demonstrations to the Product Owner.
Research and incorporate new QA tools and methodologies, including solutions assisted by artificial intelligence.
Drive the improvement of the team's quality control processes.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in manual QA of backend or server applications.
Experience in test design, planning and analysis, using risk prioritization techniques and exploratory testing.
Ability to work autonomously and improve QA processes in Scrum and non-Scrum environments.
Experience with microservices-based architectures.
Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman.
Knowledge of CI/CD processes and ability to interpret pipelines in GitLab CI.
Experience managing issues using Jira.
Ability to diagnose problems and locate their origin between frontend, backend, databases or infrastructure.
Experience using observability and log analysis tools such as ELK and Grafana.
English or Russian level B2 or higher, with good communication skills.
