Job Description
The role focuses on designing and building a data platform in Azure. The role spans the entire data lifecycle, from ingestion to consumption, working with product, analytics and engineering teams to turn data into reliable, business-useful data sets.
Responsibilities:
Design and build a modern and scalable data platform in Azure.
Manage the end-to-end data lifecycle ingestion, transformation, storage and service.
Build reliable, observable and maintainable data pipelines.
Make architectural decisions that will define the platform in the long term.
Define practices on data quality, performance and cost efficiency.
Requirements:
More than 5 years of experience.
Experience building data platforms in cloud environments, preferably Azure.
Hands-on experience with SQL and data modeling.
Experience with Python in data pipelines.
Experience creating batch and streaming data pipelines Spark, Databricks and Snowflake are valuable, although more customized pipelines are sought.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code the stack includes Pulumi, Kubernetes and ArgoCD.
Knowledge of data reliability, monitoring and performance at scale.
Experience working in production environments with direct impact on the business.
