Job Description
We are looking for an expert in data engineering to collaborate on active Fleet AI projects as a Fleet Fellow.
The work focuses on providing technical knowledge in data engineering at different levels of collaboration, from short-term problem solving to participation in more stable projects according to needs and fit.
The selected person will work alongside the internal team and other experts to design, validate and improve systems aimed at collaboration between people and artificial intelligence systems.
Responsibilities:
Apply knowledge in data engineering in projects with real impact on product and systems.
Collaborate with the internal team and other experts to define problems, design solutions, and fine-tune implementations iteratively.
Design and document data structures, ingestion processes, transformations, models and evaluation criteria.
Review results generated by automated systems to ensure their correctness, stability, and ability to scale in production.
Communicate design decisions, potential technical trade-offs, and failure scenarios in asynchronous and written work environments.
Participate in internal tools to monitor work, improve feedback and traceability of contributions.
Work on data processes including batch and real-time ingestion, transformations, joins, and aggregations.
Define data loading and reprocessing strategies when necessary.
Design data models, schema evolution, partitioning, indexing and performance decisions.
Requirements:
Experience in data engineering in production environments.
Knowledge of data pipeline design and maintenance.
Experience in data ingestion, transformation and modeling processes.
Experience in schema design and evolution of data structures.
Knowledge of storage systems, indexing and performance optimization.
Experience in data monitoring, validation and quality control.
Ability to work with changing data scenarios and resolve incidents.
Experience in data process orchestration and planning systems.
Ability to make technical decisions and communicate criteria clearly in written environments.
