Summary
Join our Infrastructure Team as a Linux Deployment Engineer, responsible for installing, configuring and launching Linux servers and associated components (network, virtualization, automation and basic security) within Cloud and Datacenter infrastructure projects.
Your mission is to guarantee the successful deployment of infrastructure environments and the availability of environments for the integration of Cloud components, complying with the technical standards defined by Whitestack.

This role is available for remote work from the following locations: Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay and Peru.

Execute deployment of baremetal servers with requirements agreed with the client.
Install, configure and validate Linux operating systems, ensuring the operation of base services, packages and repositories.
Configure network at the operating system level: interfaces, VLANs, routes, bonding and SSH for persistent and secure connectivity.
Implement initial security measures and hardening (permissions, firewall, etc.).
Deploy, configure and test Whitestack software for the implementation of baremetal servers according to requirements.
Build and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles; standardize repeatable tasks.
Perform testing and troubleshooting to verify installation and deployment of physical infrastructure.
Prepare and maintain project infrastructure documentation.
Analyze and resolve incidents during implementation; channel customer requests to internal areas.
Participate in maintenance windows of critical systems.

Experience:
+2 recent years
in Linux server administration (installation and configuration.
Experience in Cloud infrastructure services and/or Datacenter.
Training:
Graduates in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar.
Studying the last year of the professional career
Specific Knowledge / Technical Requirements:
Linux Intermediate
Linux server administration (installation, configuration and troubleshooting).
Disk management, Linux networking (bonding on baremetal servers), Bash scripting.
Networking. Intermediate Level
IP/VLANs configuration, routing, netplan, connectivity validation.
Basic Docker.
Experience lifting and deploying containers
Ansible basic level - intermediate.
Construction and maintenance of playbooks.
Simultaneous configuration of servers, switches or other network equipment.

Scripting for task automation in Linux environments
English:
Advanced Written English (for reading/writing technical documentation)
Basic Spoken English (functional, technical)

Experience in Telco operators or technology providers in mission-critical production environments.
CCNA certification or equivalent.
Interaction with APIs via Python
Automation and validation using Python libraries for servers and network equipment (Paramiko, Fabric, Salt, Netmiko, NAPALM)
Experience using roles/handler in Ansible
