Usercode is a technology company focused on the development of custom software for public and private institutions. Although as a general rule we operate remotely, depending on the client's needs and the characteristics of each project, in-person activities may be required, such as meetings, validation milestones, product deliveries or other instances. In these cases, the collaborator must be available to attend in person when requested. It is not possible to telework from outside Chile due to security rules of our clients.
We work remotely, our team is in different regions of Chile. To communicate and work we use Slack, Meet Hangout and Monday.

Functions of the position
Creation, maintenance and implementation of AI agents, hyperautomation flows and digital products powered by language models (LLMs).
The AI ​​Engineer will work in the software development area together with the other developers, software architect and project manager. The projects will mainly be artificial intelligence solutions (corporate chatbots, semantic document analysis and process automation) for private and public institutions, where he will work as a developer specialized in the integration of AI models and data flows.
You must also participate in requirements gathering meetings with clients; These meetings are guided by the project manager and/or technical leader. The engineer must assist to resolve technical doubts, evaluate the viability of the proposed AI use cases and propose the best integration strategy with the client's technological stack.
The position reports directly to the Usercode IA project manager. Every morning a daily is held to discuss progress and possible blockages from the previous day, with special emphasis on recording activities on Monday. During the day, the engineer works on his planned activities (configuration of prompts, structuring of vector databases, connection of APIs and deployment in AWS), being able to connect to a video call with the team for pair programming sessions or resolution of doubts about the logic of the developed agents.

Exclusive experience
Academic Training:
Possess a professional or technical degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related careers, with a minimum duration of 4 semesters in accredited institutions.
Experience in Generative AI:
Demonstrable experience in implementing solutions using LLMs (via OpenAI, Anthropic or Amazon Bedrock API). Ability to design RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures and management of Vector Databases.
Software and API Development:
Solid experience in the development and consumption of
RESTful APIs
using Node.js (Express/Adonis) or Python (FastAPI/Flask). Ability to integrate AI services into existing architectures in a secure and scalable way.
Automation Mindset:
Knowledge of flow orchestration tools (n8n, Make or AWS Step Functions) and ability to transform manual customer processes into high-performance automated flows.
