Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Industrial Automation Engineer with experience in control systems to participate in engineering, commissioning, optimization and maintenance projects of critical industrial infrastructures. The selected person will act as a technical reference, taking charge of automation projects and collaborating with teams to guarantee the reliability, safety and operational continuity of the facilities.
Responsibilities:
Design, configure and program advanced control strategies using CFC, SFC and Siemens Advanced Process Library (APL).
Develop and maintain DCS architectures based on SIMATIC PCS 7 and/or SIMATIC PCS neo.
Design, configure and manage high availability industrial networks using technologies such as PROFINET, PROFIBUS PA/DP, Industrial Ethernet, MRP and PRP.
Implement and launch HMI/SCADA solutions, including servers, clients and data historicization systems.
Define control philosophies, develop functional specifications and prepare technical documentation for projects.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on DCS platforms, including version updates and hot changes (Run-Time).
Analyze technical documentation, P&ID diagrams, loop diagrams and electrical plans to diagnose and resolve incidents.
Lead FAT, SAT tests, virtual simulations and plant commissioning activities.
Perform advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting tasks to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring incidents.
Coordinate automation activities with the process, electrical, mechanical and IT teams.
Prepare technical estimates, hardware sizing, budgets and project reports.
Define technical specifications for the acquisition of hardware, software and automation components.
Act as a technical reference to clients, providing mentoring and support to junior and semi-senior profiles.
Lead automation projects of medium and high complexity, ensuring compliance with deadlines, quality standards and security requirements.
Requirements:
Between 7 and 10 years or more of experience in industrial automation, preferably in process industries such as steel, energy, chemicals or Oil & Gas.
Demonstrable experience with SIMATIC PCS 7 and/or SIMATIC PCS neo platforms.
Advanced programming knowledge using CFC, SFC and Advanced Process Library (APL).
Experience in implementing safety instrumented systems (SIS) and tools such as Safety Matrix.
Ability to design complete DCS system architectures, including redundant controllers, servers and industrial networks.
Experience in high availability industrial networks with SCALANCE, MRP and PRP technologies.
Advanced knowledge of distributed input and output systems, especially SIMATIC ET 200SP HA.
Experience in industrial instrumentation, including pressure, temperature, flow sensors, gas analyzers and smart valves.
Knowledge of asset management tools such as SIMATIC PAM and SIMATIC PDM.
Experience in integration and configuration of SINAMICS industrial drives.
Ability to interpret technical documentation for automation and process control.
