Seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the development of an AI assistant to support construction professionals in processing, improving and validating construction documents. The role offers the opportunity to work on advanced technical solutions, combining engineering, product and machine learning to generate tangible impact on real projects.
Responsibilities:
Design the main AI assistant:
lead the technical development of an agent that helps construction professionals process, improve and validate complex documents.
Design agent workflows:
use proprietary tools, complex RAG pipelines, guardrails, and subagent orchestration.
Master context and memory:
solve state management challenges to ensure consistent and long multi-turn interactions.
Own the feedback loop:
implement online and offline evaluation frameworks to balance latency, cost and quality.
Drive product impact:
work with Product and Engineering to turn ambiguous business problems into concrete technical solutions.
Production level engineering:
write Python code and establish observability so that agents are reliable in production.
Explore horizons:
identify opportunities to expand capabilities, for example with multimodal inputs such as visual plans.
Requirements:
Engineering training:
5+ years of experience with production Python and solid software design.
LLM Application Knowledge:
experience with agent architectures, advanced RAG strategies, and state and context management.
Product mindset:
ability to handle ambiguity and discern when to release something good enough.
Additional skills:
Good knowledge of German to debug domain-specific conversations.
Experience in TypeScript for frontend integration.
Knowledge of classic ML or learning for model optimization.
