Job Description
The role involves building and maintaining a production-grade real-time voice agent platform that works at scale in real customer environments.
The focus is on creating reliable and natural agent experiences during calls, as well as developing tools and APIs that allow the platform to be operated and improved safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Build real-time voice agent platform:
send core calling capabilities, such as voicemail transfers and handling, natural turn-taking, and reliable call flows that work at scale.
Design and ship agent behaviors:
ensure reliable execution of tools, safe resolution of variables, and orchestration of multi-step actions during live calls.
Manage agent runtime and in-call intelligence:
improve tool execution during calls and agent behaviors that feel natural, including listening to cues, handling interruptions, and achieving consistent results.
Develop platform API and admin experience:
Design and implement configuration, publishing/version control, and testing surfaces to securely create, iterate, and operate voice agents.
Manage Knowledge and Retrieval Features:
Create and extend the knowledge base and retrieval patterns (RAG) so that agents can use customer context accurately and securely.
Implement integrations and events:
create clean integration layers, authentication patterns, and webhook/event systems that connect the agent platform to Aloware and external systems.
Deliver with AI-enabled quality standards:
use tools like Cursor or Claude Code to move faster, while maintaining clean architecture, readable code, testing where it matters, and PR discipline.
Requirements:
Experience in production engineering, having delivered systems that depend on real customers.
Experience developing with Python services or latency-sensitive real-time systems.
Proficient in TypeScript and React/Next.js, with comprehensive stack management capabilities when required.
Knowledge of LLM systems and at least one of the following: real-time/S2S voice models, STT/LLM/TTS pipelines, or telephony/voice/streaming systems.

$4,000 - $5,000 / month
