FlexPay is a SaaS company that automates the calculation of variable salaries. Our web configurator allows you to model metrics and formulas to comply with any payroll model. They integrate with external sources via API or files via SFTP. We provide the value and details of each model, as well as an attached PDF with the breakdown for settlement. We currently serve more than 40 clients and offer consulting to expand models and optimize processes. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer and Architect to accompany the IT team in new challenges and functionalities. The current project includes peripheral modules for worker self-service, a flexible BI system, and infrastructure migrations and performance improvements.

As a Senior Software Engineer and Architect, you will lead the definition, design and implementation of FlexPay's technical architecture and will also be heavily involved in the development itself by programming. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and scaling solutions that allow workers to view and simulate their calculations, as well as providing self-service capabilities and full traceability. You will coordinate technology migration and upgrades, leading development and DevOps teams to deliver continuous value to customers. The design and development covers the following technologies or tasks: RubyOnRails, Java (Vert.x), SQL in the Backend; manage microservices and asynchronous jobs with Sidekiq; manage deployments in AWS with Kubernetes and RDS/Postgres; apply cybersecurity and data governance practices; evaluate emerging tools and define the best architecture to scale.
Description
We are looking for a professional with verifiable experience in software architecture and development with experience in Ruby on Rails, Java (Vert.x) and SQL. Must have experience in AWS-oriented infrastructure, Kubernetes containers, Postgres database and advanced SQL, as well as information security and management of multi-tenant environments. Self-taught ability to understand the system and technical leadership skills to guide the team will be valued. The ability to connect the business with technology, make infrastructure decisions that preserve speed and availability, and propose improvements for the worker self-service module and BI is expected.
Desirable
Experience in multi-tenant SaaS, scalable API design, experience with SleackOps (AWS Marketplace), experience in monitoring with Lens, and knowledge of data-oriented architecture. High communication and collaboration skills with remote teams, focus on results and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
It is also desirable if you already use an IDE and plugins with AI agents in your programming process to accelerate the design, development and QA of your code.
