Genesys Information Technologies. SpA, a company with more than 30 years in the Latin American market, is looking for a Data Engineer with advanced English to plan, execute and report data projects of diverse scope. The role involves working autonomously with complex information, proposing solid solutions to business problems. Roles and Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain data pipelines using SQL, NoSQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redshift, SQL Server) and orchestration tools.
Develop ETL/ELT processes and Data Warehouse solutions for enterprise-scale data ingestion and transformation.
Develop and maintain Python code for data processing and automation.
Orchestrate data flows with tools such as Apache Airflow and DBT.
Real-time ingestion management, including web tagging and real-time data platforms (e.g. Snowplow, Google Tag Manager).
Define and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Bitbucket and Jenkins.
Apply agile methodologies: backlog management, project monitoring and reporting (ideally with Jira).
Work in cloud (AWS) and big data environments, with experience in PySpark or other technologies for data engineering and deployment.
Knowledge of complementary tools (desirable): Digdag, Embulk, Presto.
Ability to understand the business and contribute marketing/Martech and/or Adtech analytics as added value.
Application of machine learning models on customer data platforms (desirable).
Knowledge of programmatic advertising as a plus.
Management of data blocks and data quality, ensuring traceability and governance.
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and support to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements and Profile
We are looking for a Data Engineer with solid experience in developing and implementing complex data solutions. You must demonstrate the ability to plan, execute and communicate progress of data projects in dynamic environments, with special attention to data quality, scalability and performance. Experience in Martech/Adtech projects and cloud environments will be valued. Ability to work autonomously, solve problems and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is required.
Essential technical skills: mastery of SQL and NoSQL, experience with Data Warehouse and ETL/ELT, Python for processing, orchestration tools (Airflow, DBT), real-time ingests, CI/CD (Bitbucket, Jenkins), agile methodologies (Jira), and experience in AWS or similar platforms. Knowledge of tools such as Snowplow, Google Tag Manager, Digdag, Embulk and Presto is an advantage, as well as experience in marketing analytics and/or ML in customer data.
Soft skills: engineer's mentality, problem-solving ability, good team collaborator, orientation to continuous learning and professional growth, clear communication and ability to manage priorities in environments with partial information.
Desirable Competencies
Experience in programmatic advertising and digital advertising platforms.
Advanced knowledge in ML applied to customer data and marketing automation use cases.
Experience with Digdag, Embulk or Presto; familiarity with complex pipelines and multi-field orchestration.
Knowledge of data governance and good security and compliance practices.
