At UIO Languages we are looking for Medical Interpreters with a minimum of 1 year experience for 100% remote work under the VRI (Video Interpretation) modality.

Responsibilities
* Facilitate effective communication between patients and doctors accurately, without adding, omitting or substituting information during telephone medical consultations.
*Comply with the ethics and applicable standards of medical interpretation; adapting to a variety of medical situations and contexts; demonstrating flexibility and professionalism at all times.
*Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in the transmission of medical information during telephone medical consultations.

Requirements:
* Professionals in Languages, Communication Sciences, Translation and Interpretation (Not exclusive).
* Level C1-C2 in the English language (Exclusive).
* Availability to work 20, 36 or 40 hours per week
* Minimum experience of 12 months as an ENGESP medical interpreter.
* Have a high-speed internet connection (minimum 100 Mbps) with network cable; Wi-Fi connection is not accepted.
* Have a minimum desktop PC or Laptop: Intel Core i5 / AMN Ryzen 5 with 8Mb of RAM.
* Have a private, quiet, spacious space, free of noise or distractions.

Soft and technical skills:
* Knowledge of medical terminology and consecutive interpretation.
* Professionalism and ethics.
* Stress management.
* High level of assertive communication skills, listening comprehension, note taking and short-term memory retention.
* Basic computer knowledge (Office tools).

Hours/Benefits:
* Contract: Independent Contractor (No payroll)
* Payment Method: monthly (23rd of each month).
* Operating range: Monday to Sunday, between 8:00 am – 9:00 pm
* Pay per hour: $5.00 dollars (Connection time)
* Training: Paid training and mentoring.
* Training duration: 3 consecutive weeks
* Modality: 100% home office (Video Remote Interpreting)
