Functions of the position
Purpose of the Position
Lead the strategy, operation and evolution of the middleware layer and business integrations, ensuring connectivity between the core business systems (SAP, Retail Pro, RCP, e-commerce systems) and the effective management of relationships with technology providers.
Main Responsibilities
-Integrations Management
Manage and optimize middleware platforms (Ekyam, SAP CPI, V33) guaranteeing availability, performance and scalability
Design and implement integration architectures that support retail business processes: demand planning, inventory management, purchase orders and master synchronization
Lead the consolidation of middleware platforms towards a federated architecture
-Architecture and Standards
Define and maintain enterprise integration standards, including design patterns, protocols, and technical documentation
Ensure data integrity and quality in integration flows between systems
Participate in business architecture decisions considering the technological roadmap (including future migration to S/4HANA)
-Supplier Management
Serve as the primary technical point of contact with middleware and embedded systems vendors
Negotiate and track SLAs, response times and delivery commitments
Coordinate technical meetings with international partners, ensuring effective communication in English and Spanish
-Operation and Support
Establish monitoring, alerting and incident resolution processes in integrations
Document and keep updated the inventory of integrations and their dependencies
Coordinate with development, infrastructure and operations teams to ensure business continuity
Position requirements
Academic Training
Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computing or related career
Desirable: certifications in enterprise architecture (TOGAF), integration (Ekyam, SaltBox, SAP CPI) or agile methodologies
Experience
Minimum 5 years in systems integration or solutions architecture roles
At least 3 years leading technical teams or integration projects
Proven experience in the retail industry (desirable in multi-country operations)
Experience with ERP (preferably SAP B1 or S/4HANA)
Technical Knowledge
Middleware and integration platforms (iPaaS, ESB, API Management)
Enterprise architecture and integration patterns (SOA, microservices, event-driven)
Relational databases and master data management
REST/SOAP APIs, exchange formats (JSON, XML, EDI)
Project development and management methodologies
Languages
Native Spanish
Advanced English (B2+ minimum) - essential for technical meetings with international suppliers
