Job Description
Your roleThe tax consultancy is experiencing a wave of consolidation: thousands of houses will be looking for a successor in the next few years, and only a few buyers are examining them with the same care as a professional transaction team. Here you will learn about M&A on the buyer's side, from real transactions and from the first approach until after the deal. Vogel advises several thousand medium-sized companies on tax, commercial and strategic issues and acquires independent consulting companies in order to develop them further. We continually review new goals, evaluate, negotiate and finalize. Unlike a financial investor, our work does not end with the closing, it begins there. You are studying economics, industrial engineering or a related subject in an advanced bachelor's or master's degree and want to get to know the transaction process in its entirety, not just a section of it. rt.What you won't find with usNo second row. Your work goes into a negotiation taking place this month. No deal romance. We buy to keep. If you lose interest after graduation, you'll miss the best part. No practice cases. You work on real goals with real owners.FAQ1. What is Vogel - and where do you work?Vogel is one of the leading medium-sized business consultancies in Germany - since 1959, owner-managed in the second generation, with its own capital - and is building the leading consulting platform for medium-sized businesses. We work at three locations: Aalen as the established headquarters, Bopfingen in the core business and Munich as the new hub. In all three, we look across the functions - from tax advice to consulting to the teams that build the foundation underneath.2. How should the salary ranges be understood? Deliberately broad - and stated at every point before you apply. We differentiate based on track record and market value, not on degree: scarce, highly sought-after profiles at the top end, less scarce ones at the bottom. The range shown is not a scope for negotiation, but a profile scale - two people with similar experience can
You can earn different things with us. What determines the upper end is the level of maturity, not the number of years in the profession and not the negotiation skills.3. How much - and how - do you work at Vogel? It is measured by what you do, not by the number of hours. But it's also honest: If you're looking for 9-to-5, we're not the first place to go. We are looking for people who work intensively on their own initiative because the tasks are worth it. How you distribute your time is largely up to you. What we share: We work together face-to-face and usually see each other every day in the office - culture, sparring and the best ideas arise in everyday proximity. We are not a remote company and do not have major home office policies; Individual remote days are no problem.4. How does the application work? Lean, fast, transparent - and staggered according to profile. As a rule, there are four steps: a written task in which you take a position on eight questions - AI is expressly permitted, we only ask for a short self-disclosure on this; a conversation lasting half an hour; a joint work session on a real problem from our everyday lives; and an on-site meeting with the team and a meal together. How many steps there actually are depends on the role: for internships and work-study, there is no on-site appointment; for student jobs, a conversation is sufficient; for senior roles, a joint working afternoon is added. You can book a ten-minute call in advance in which only you ask. As a rule hÃ
You will receive feedback from us within 48 hours after each step.5. How does variable remuneration work? Linked to performance on a quarterly basis, assessed qualitatively. The scale increases with the level: up to 20% Associate, 27.5% Manager, 35% Senior Manager, 42.5% Director, 50% VP. Expected value with good performance - you meet the requirements, set your own accents, pass the keeper test - is around 50% of the maximum; the maximum bonus is not the norm. The focus is on a holistic assessment by your manager based on six criteria: Impact, Judgment, Communication, Execution, Growth and Values.6. How do I develop - what career paths are there? Two active paths: the IC career (technical depth, expert career) via the levels Expert, Senior, Lead and Principal - and the management career (leadership, personnel responsibility) via manager, senior manager, director and VP. Both are paid the same, and both do not have to lead upwards: If you stay at one level and go deeper there, you are just as right with us. You choose the direction after onboarding, usually in year 1-3. Starting a career is not a special path, but the early part of the same route - from working student or intern to associate, for the best without having to apply again.7. Team, culture, vacation? Lunch together is the daily anchor point - whoever is in the office eats with us; expected, not controlled. Dinner is the same offer without any expectations. Both without any personal contribution. Plus social events and offsites on a regular basis - not as a compulsory program, but because a good team also shares time outside of work. For us, benefits are not the icing on the cake, but what makes intensity sustainable over the years: exams
Funding with a EUR 25,000 qualification budget and three months of leave, 100 percent coverage of childcare, EGYM Wellpass, company pension plan, job ticket with 90% subsidy, home office equipment and a device of your choice from our catalog, one book per month from the Vogel canon - and AI tools with no token limit and no budget cap. Vacation: 28 days. Please mention the word **SPIRITUAL** and tag RMTM2LjI0My44OS4yMzE= when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMTM2LjI0My44OS4yMzE=).
