Job Description

At Sellectia we are looking for a Semi Senior BIM Modeler specialized in metallic structures, with demonstrable experience in Tekla Structures and the ability to develop models and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly.

The selected person will work remotely with the technical team of a Spanish company in the metal construction sector.

Main responsibilities
- Model complete metallic structures in Tekla Structures from plans, sketches, memories and engineering specifications.
- Unroll profiles, plates, cards, rigidizers, anchors, bolts, screws, welding and metal unions.
- Configure and adjust standard and personalized unions according to criteria defined by engineering.
- Prepare general plans, construction plans, parts, manufacturing plans and assembly plans.
- Generate lists of materials, profiles, plates, lathes and other reports necessary for manufacturing.
- Review geometries, dimensions, levels, dimensions, tolerances, interferences and general consistency of the model.
- Detect and communicate errors, incompatibilities or missing information before issuing documentation.
-Incorporate revisions requested by engineering, taller or assembly.
- Keep models, plans, revisions and project files up to date and organized.
- Respond to technical queries related to the fabrication and assembly of structures.

Profile requirements
-Residency in Latin America.
-Minimum 3 years of experience in modeling metallic structures.
-Intermediate or advanced domain of Tekla Structures.
-Real experience developing construction, fabrication, cutting and assembly plans.
-Knowledge of structural profiles, plates, unions, lathing, anchors and welding.
-Ability to interpret structural plans and engineering documentation.
-Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes for metallic structures.
-Management of DWG, DXF, IFC and PDF formats.
-High level of precision and attention to detail.
-Ability to work autonomously, manage revisions and meet delivery deadlines.
-Computer equipment and internet suitable for working remotely.
-Availability to coordinate daily with the technical team in Spain.

Valued skills
-Training in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design, Metal Constructions, Structural Design, BIM or related areas.
-Experience in industrial buildings, platforms, walkways, ladders, supports and other metal structures.
-AutoCAD management.
-Notions of structural calculation and resistance of materials.
-Technical English to interpret plans and specifications.
-Previous experience working with Spanish or European companies.
-Courses or certifications in Tekla Structures.
-Availability of Tekla Structures' own license.

Having your own Tekla Structures license will be valuable, but will not be a mandatory requirement. During the process it will be identified which candidates have a license and which ones need the client company to facilitate it.
