PROJECT ACCOUNTING - PROJECT ACCOUNTANT \n Location: Bogotá (100% Remote)\n Salary: $6,000,000\n Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.\n Modality: Remote\n Sector: Construction\n Area: Finance / Accounting\n\n Objective of the position\nThe Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the billing (Billing) and collections (Collections) processes of a portfolio of construction projects, ensuring the correct execution of contracts, financial control and timely cash flow.\n\n Main responsibilities\n Billing and Collections (Billing & Collections)\n Prepare and present monthly billing (AIA, lump sum, T&M, cost-plus)\n Coordinate with Project Managers key documentation for billing\n Control billing records and billable costs\n Manage change orders (change orders)\n Request release of retentions (retainage)\n Accounts Receivable (Accounts Receivable)\n Monitor portfolio and track pending invoices \n Manage collections and resolve disputes with clients\n Escalate critical cases according to internal policies\n Manage collection documentation and payment statuses\n Ensure compliance with legal requirements (lien, notices)\n Project Accounting and Reports\n Reconcile billing vs. budgets and WIP\n Report financial variations\n Support internal and external audits\n Compliance and Contracts\n Guarantee compliance with contractual terms\n Validate requirements of suppliers and subcontractors\n Support in the interpretation of financial contracts\n\n Requirements\n Professional in Accounting, Finance or similar\n Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in accounting in the construction sector\n Knowledge of billing: AIA, T&M, lump sum, cost-plus\n Use of accounting software (Sage, Viewpoint, CMiC, Procore or similar)\n Advanced Excel (dynamic tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, modeling)\n Experience in accounts receivable, contracts and WIP\n\n Key competencies\n High attention to detail\n Organization and management of multiple projects\n Effective communication with teams and clients\n Ability to manage collections in a professional manner\n Compliance with accounting times and closings\n\n Desirable (Plus)\n Certifications such as CPA or CMA (or in process)\n Experience in public or government projects\n Knowledge of legal collection and lien processes\n\n We offer you\n Work 100% remote\n Career growth\n Excellent salary package\n Exposure to high-level projects\n\n Apply now!\nIf you have experience in construction project accounting and are passionate about strategic financial management, this opportunity is for you.",
