The client is located in the United States, so a fluent English level is required.\nHiring: Prestador de Servicios (Se solicitará factura timbrada por el SAT/ RESICO, Persona Física con Actividades Empresariales, etc)\nLabor Days: Mon- Fri from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST\nSalary: Up to $30,000 MXN gross\n\nAs a Project Engineer you will support the technical, administrative, and coordination aspects of electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.\nThis role serves as a key bridge between the field and project management, with primary responsibility for managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, key project tracking logs and project documentation. The Project Engineer ensures information flows accurately and timely, supporting efficient execution, quality control and project profitability.\nKey Responsibilities: \n1. RFIs, Submittals & Technical Documentation:\nPrepare, submit, track and manage RFIs, ensuring timely responses and proper distribution.\nPrepare and coordinate submittals, shop drawings, project data, samples and substitution in accordance with contract requirements.\nMaintain accurate RFI, submittal and key tracking logs, including revision history and approval status.\nReview drawings, specifications and addendas to identify scope requirements, conflicts or discrepancies as well as cost impacts.\nEnsure approved submittals and design clarifications are incorporated into current project documents and communicated to the field.\n2. Change Orders & Scope Tracking:\nAssist in the preparation, documentation and tracking of change order requests (CORs) and change orders (COs). Maintain change order logs, including status, pricing, approvals and schedule impacts.\nCoordinate with Project Manager, field team and vendors to capture scope changes accurately and timely.\n3. Procurement & Tracker Logs\nMaintain and update procurement tracker logs, including material status, purchase orders, lead times, delivery dates, and filed receipt confirmation.\nTrack long lead-time items and proactively flag potential schedule risk to the Project Manager.\nCoordinate with purchasing, warehouse, vendors and field supervisors to ensure materials are ordered, delivered and align with project schedule.\n4. Project Coordination & Communication:\nServe as the coordination point between project managers, field teams, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors and vendors/ suppliers.\nAttend coordination meetings, job walks, and project meetings, including documenting action items and ensuring follow-up.\nMaintain and update key project logs, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement and drawings logs.\nSupport schedule updates by tracking deliverables, approvals and material readiness.\n5. Budget & Cost Support:\nAssist with job cost support related to material pricing, labor impact and change work.\nCoordinate with project managers, administrator and accounting to ensure backup documentation supports billings and change orders.\nProvide timely inputs to project managers for forecasting and cost to complete updates.\n6. Field Support & Quality Assurance:\nSupport field team with technical clarifications, approved documentation, and material coordination.\nAssist with ensuring work aligns with approved drawings, specifications and submittals.\nParticipate in inspections, punch walks, and verification of completed work as needed.\n7. Project Closeout & Log Completion:\nEnsure all project logs (RFI, submittal, change orders, procurement, drawings) are completed and accurate at closeout.\nAssist with O&M manuals, warranties, as-builts drawings and final documentation.\nSupport timely and organized project closeout in accordance with contract requirements.\nCore Competencies Takes ownership of timelines, outcomes, and project performance.\nStrong understanding of construction documents and electrical scope, including strong understanding of material procurement processes, lead times and delivery coordination.\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail.\nAbility to manage and maintain multiple tracker logs accurately.\nProactive communicator and problem-solver.\nComfortable working cross functionally with office and field team.\nAble to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.\nDemonstrates initiative and a continuous improvement mindset.\nSupports and promotes a safety-first culture.\nQualifications:\n2-5 years of experience in electrical construction, preferably in Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or similar role.\nWorking knowledge of electrical construction documents, including drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs and change orders.\nProficient with construction/ project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, MS Project, Procure, or similar platforms).\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), strong Excel preferred.\nEffective English writing and verbal communication skills.\nStrong understanding of construction documents and electrical scope, including strong understanding of material procurement processes, lead times and delivery coordination",
