Senior Payment Reconciliation Analyst (Simetrik Specialist)

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing payment operations and reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy, control and visibility across multiple payment flows. You will work closely with Finance, Payments, and third-party vendors to oversee automated reconciliations, analyze exceptions, and resolve discrepancies. Your focus will be on data maintenance, audit preparation, and identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency within the payments ecosystem, operating with a high level of autonomy and attention to detail.

What can you expect from this position (Responsibilities)

Configure, monitor and maintain automated reconciliation flows using Simetrik, integrating multiple data sources such as bank files, payment gateway APIs and internal records.
Identify, analyze and resolve exceptions and discrepancies in transactions detected by the platform, guaranteeing data accuracy and operational continuity.
Ensure that accounting records match actual cash movements, maintaining a single source of truth, ready for internal and external audits (e.g. SOC, Basel compliance).
Monitor the correct application of commissions by acquirers and payment processors to detect revenue leaks and prevent financial losses.
Generate reports and dashboards that provide cash flow visibility by payment method and currency.
Collaborate closely with Finance, Payments, Risk and third-party providers to ensure seamless payment operations from start to finish. Identify opportunities for automation, standardization and continuous process improvement in payment operations.
