Description: At ADN – Human Resources we are looking for a DB2 Database Administrator for i (Senior) / Remote for an Important Company.



Requirements:

-Have at least three years of experience anticipating problems.

-Training in Systems, Engineering or related careers (desirable).

-Proactive and oriented profile for continued improvement.

-Ability to anticipate and preventive thinking.

-Technical criteria for making decisions in critical environments.

-Clear communication and collaborative work with infrastructure and development.

Exclusive knowledge:

-Probable senior experience in administration of DB2 for i (AS/400, IBM i).

-Experience in highly critical production environments.

-Advanced SQL command (native and embedded) and CL commands.

-Solid knowledge in: ? Execution plans? Indexing strategies? Journaling? Backup & Recovery

-Security and access control? Replication / HA

-Experience in preventive performance analysis and operational risk management.

Tasks to be developed:

-Advanced administration of DB2 databases for development, testing and production environments.

-Integral management of backups, restorations and periodic recovery tests.

-Performance analysis and optimization (SQL tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing).

-Proactive monitoring and early risk detection.

-Implementation and improvement of security policies and access control.

-Management of journaling, replication and high availability mechanisms.

-Specialized technical support for modeling development and data optimization teams.

-Active participation in critical incident management and root cause analysis.

-Technical documentation and continuous improvement of operational standards.
