About Us
At CitiPower and Powercor, we’re proud to deliver electricity to 1.3 million Victorian customers every day through our network of poles and wires. But more than that, we’re here to power communities, support local businesses and keep critical services running smoothly. We’re essential to them all—and none of this happens without our people.
As Victorians electrify everything from homes to transport, we’re focused on ensuring our networks are ready to meet that demand. If you want to be part of something essential, be essential with us.
About the Role
Resource planning is an integral part of the Program Planning and Control function in Network Services. The purpose of the Resource Planning Analyst role is to manage and optimise resource utilisation across the CitiPower and Powercor (CPPAL) network to drive successful and efficient delivery of the works program.
Resource Planning Analysts are required to strategically plan the resourcing of the works program for each region or depot, ensuring the continuous alignment of workload and resources to maximise resource utilisation and external resource engagement for cost-efficient works delivery.
The base location for this role is flexible; however, travel across Market Street, Burnley, Brooklyn and Geelong depots is required.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the development and maintenance of an accurate rolling 12-month resource capacity plan for an area or region, by location, work centre and skill type.
Maintain external and contractor resource profiles and ensure these are considered within the overall resource profile.
Analyse each area or region’s program workload, taking into consideration program delivery requirements, resource and contractor availability, and other local factors. Strategically plan and enact resource solutions to ensure successful program delivery.
Identify, communicate and align resources and work across locations to exploit opportunities within the work programs and maximise workforce productivity and utilisation, initiating the transfer of resources, both short- and long-term, across programs and regions.
Manage and maintain location-level capacity and utilisation reporting systems, with a focus on actual versus forecast capacity, including productive time, overtime, non-billable time and leave.
Monitor and report on monthly forecast versus actual work planned and completed, capacity planned and delivered, and program variations for the assigned area or region. Focus on ensuring all variances are well understood, communicated and incorporated into future forecasts.
Operate as an effective and collaborative member of the Program Planning and Control team to deliver the Powercor Network Services annual works program safely and efficiently.
Develop, implement and recommend new and innovative processes and practices to meet business needs and improve program delivery and team effectiveness.
Learn from unsuccessful and successful activities and projects and apply those learnings to future projects.
