This position involves collaborating with suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing inventory, and ensuring that our projects have the necessary resources to succeed while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for renewable energy.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupplier Management:\nIdentify and evaluate potential suppliers of solar energy products and services, including panels, inverters, mounting systems, batteries, and installation services.\nDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and quality service.\nPurchasing Strategy:\nCollaborate with the project management team to understand procurement needs and develop a comprehensive purchasing strategy that aligns with project timelines and budgets.\nAnalyze market trends and pricing to inform purchasing decisions.\nContract Negotiation:\nNegotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous contracts.\nPrepare and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.\nInventory Management:\nMonitor inventory levels and coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.\nDevelop inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.\nCost Analysis:\nConduct cost analysis and value engineering to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.\nPrepare reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and inventory status for management review.\nRegulatory Compliance:\nStay informed about industry regulations and standards related to solar energy procurement.\nEnsure that all purchasing activities comply with relevant laws and company policies.\nCollaboration:\nWork closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure that all technical specifications are met with purchased materials.\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to address any procurement-related issues and implement solutions.\nQualifications:\nBachelors degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.\n2-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing in the renewable energy sector.\nKnowledge of solar energy products and technologies is highly desirable.\nStrong negotiation and communication skills.\nAbility to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.",
