The role focuses on acting as a technical expert on packaging applications for customers manufacturing in the meat and cheese markets in EMEA. The professional will support clients in product selection, application optimization and effective product marketing, as well as product improvements and developments in collaboration with R&D and Product Management.
Responsibilities:
Act as a technical expert in packaging applications for meat and cheese clients.
Support customers in product selection, application optimization, and effective product marketing.
Collaborate with R&D and product management on product improvements and developments.
Work with field sales and technical service to resolve application issues.
Support product qualifications, testing and expansions at customer facilities.
Perform packaging line, shelf life and performance evaluations to demonstrate measurable customer value.
Gather customer and market information to identify portfolio gaps, innovation opportunities and competitive trends.
Share knowledge internally and contribute to the development of application capabilities in the organization.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales or similar roles within flexible packaging in the meat and dairy industry.
Knowledge of customer packaging materials and manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate customer needs and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.
Project management, problem solving, analysis and communication skills.
Comfort to work independently in an international and multifunctional environment.
Availability to travel more than 50%.
Market experience (one or more of the following):
Hard cheese: applications of grated, sliced and block cheese.
Fresh meat: shrink films and bags; forming films and bags.
