ECOTIERRA is a Canadian company dedicated to the development and operation of sustainable forestry and agroforestry projects with strong socioeconomic and environmental impacts. Based in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, we have offices in Peru, Colombia, and Honduras.

We are looking for a Software Programmer Analyst.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
- Design, develop and implement software solutions in accordance with the established technical and functional requirements.

POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Develop new functionalities according to specifications.
- Maintain and optimize existing systems.
- Integrate systems with APIs and external services.
- Guarantee quality, security and performance of the software.
- Carry out, at a minimum, the following activities:
o Analysis of functional and technical requirements.
o Development of web and/or mobile applications
o Implementation of backend services and consumption of APIs.
o Database management.
o Bug fixing.
o Technical tests and basic code documentation.
o Technical support during the implementation stage.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed technical degree, university bachelor's degree or degree in: Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related careers.
- Minimum proven experience of 4 years in software development and/or similar projects.
- Experience in handling languages / frameworks such as:
o Backend: PHP (Laravel) / Node.js
o Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Frameworks (Angular / React)
- Knowledge and management of MySQL / PostgreSQL database
- Desirable management of stored knowledge
- Knowledge of Ionic and Flutter mobile applications
- And have other knowledge such as:
o Consumption and creation of REST APIs
o Version control (Git)
o Management of servers and deployments (desirable)
o Good development and security practices

SPECIFIC COMPETENCES
- Software analysis and design to develop scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.
- Advanced programming in languages ​​and frameworks, applying design patterns and good practices.
- Database management and optimization, API development and systems integration.
- Software quality assurance through testing, version control and CI/CD.
- Ability to solve complex problems, review code with the team.
