Job Description

An important company in the services sector is looking for an Accounting Director to lead the accounting, tax and financial management of the company. The role reports to the Financial Department and is in charge of supervising the accounting team, regulatory assurance, tax planning and generating key information for strategic decision making.

Key responsibilities

Direct and supervise the accounting, financial and tax operation under IFRS standards and current Colombian regulations.
Lead tax planning and guarantee the timely presentation and payment of tax obligations.
Prepare, certify and present financial statements, management reports and indicators to Management and Management.
Design, implement and monitor policies, internal controls and accounting procedures.
Coordinate internal/external audits and respond to requirements from control entities.
Lead, develop and evaluate the performance of the accounting area team.
Monitor budgets, variance analysis and financial projections.
Vacancy conditions
Work scheme: Hybrid (mandatory office attendance in Puerto Boyacá for 1 or 2 weeks a month; remaining days under remote work with computer equipment supplied by the company).
Location: Puerto Boyacá (hybrid modality: 1 week per month in Puerto Boyacá) or when required.
Contract type: Indefinite | Full time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: $8,000,000 COP monthly plus legal benefits.
Minimum requirements

Academic training: Professional in Public Accounting with a valid professional card.
Postgraduate: Specialization or Master's Degree in Tax, Finance or related areas (exclusive; not comparable by experience).
Experience: Minimum 5 to 6 years leading accounting areas or in similar management/leadership positions.
Desirable sector: Experience in service companies, industrial or hydrocarbon sectors with management of multiple contracts.
Tools:

Management of accounting/financial software (SINCO desirable).
Microsoft Excel intermediate - advanced level.
Competencies: Team leadership, strategic vision, analytical capacity, decision making and results orientation.",
