Job Description
Position oriented to the design, construction and maintenance of scalable and reliable data pipelines that support AI and ML initiatives in the studio. You will work alongside data scientists, ML engineers, analysts and game developers to understand data needs and transform them into infrastructure solutions. He is also involved in data flow management, quality control, and supporting AI use cases related to player behavior and content optimization.
Responsibilities:
Design, build and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines to support AI and ML initiatives across the studio.
Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, analysts and game developers to understand data needs and translate them into infrastructure solutions.
Develop and maintain ETL and ELT workflows that ingest and transform structured and unstructured data from various sources such as game telemetry, player behavior, and marketing.
Work with cloud platforms to manage and optimize data, warehouses and orchestration tools.
Monitor and resolve issues in data channels and ensure timely delivery of data to downstream systems.
Enable real-time and batch data processing for AI use cases such as player segmentation, churn prediction, personalization, and content optimization.
Promote data engineering practices such as CI/CD, version control, testing and observability.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience as a data engineer, ideally in games, mobile applications or digital products.
Experience with data pipeline orchestration such as Airflow, Prefect or Dagster.
Proficiency in SQL and Python.
Experience with databases such as Trino, BQ and Redshift valuable.
Experience in using big data technologies and distributed systems such as Spark, Kafka or Flink for large-scale processing.
Understanding of cloud infrastructure mainly AWS and knowledge of other providers such as GCP valuable, as well as containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of machine learning workflows, feature stores, and model serving.
Using generative AI for daily tasks.
Interest in games and the use of AI to create player experiences.
Collaborative mindset with communication skills and product-focused approach.
