We are looking for a qualified engineer to join an engineering team and contribute to the definition of objectives, ensuring that the proposed work is aligned with the company's strategic objectives. The selected person will be responsible for technical decisions, design and implement complex solutions, and foster collaboration within the team.
Responsibilities:
Be integral in defining team objectives, ensuring that the proposed work is aligned with the objectives and prioritizing actions to achieve them in the best way.
Design and implement complex technical solutions that align with the strategy, influencing the guidelines and standards of the engineering group.
Assume responsibility for technical decisions within the team, demonstrating experience in multiple technologies.
Manage large technical functionalities from design to completion, making informed decisions between progress and perfection.
Provide technical direction to the team, proactively addressing technical debt and reducing the complexity of services and processes.
Develop an understanding of the multi-service business model, leading discussions on how the team's work contributes to the company's overall strategy.
Pass on company culture to others and mentor engineers through code reviews and pair work, encouraging collaboration and participation of all voices.
Lead complex projects and explorations of unknown areas, working effectively under pressure to advance the team.
Requirements:
Production experience with Go.
Proven proficiency in Postgres, Kafka and Kubernetes.
Experience building distributed systems, including concurrency and event-driven architectures.
Understanding of system resilience, observability, uptime, SLAs and progressive degradation.
Ability to deliver end-to-end solutions, from design to construction, implementation and support.
Experience working with CI/CD tools, Terraform, and modern cloud workflows.
Familiarity with Kafka and database migrations is a plus.
Communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Comfort working in autonomous, product-focused teams.
