It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.ContextThe International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the main intergovernmental organization in the field of migration and is part of the United Nations System. Since its creation in 1951, IOM has worked closely with States and partners to promote orderly, safe and dignified migration, for the benefit of migrants and societies. To strengthen decision making, risk management and strategic communication, it is necessary to have constant monitoring of the country's information ecosystem. The support of Online Volunteers will allow: Help to anticipate reputational risks. Identify narratives that affect human mobility. Analyze mentions and visibility of IOM actions. Provide inputs for technical and management teams. Strengthen communication response capacity in sensitive situations.Task descriptionThe Online Volunteers will support IOM Venezuela in the daily monitoring of national, regional and international media, as well as social networks, to identify news, trends and relevant mentions on migration, temporary accommodation, protection, governance, health, WASH, and IOM activities in Venezuela, including key states such as: Zulia, Bolívar, Táchira, Amazonas, Caracas, Apure and Falcón. They will also support interagency communication groups of the UN System in monitoring key news. The main deliverables will be: Daily bulletin (Monday to Friday) with headlines, summary and links of news identified in national, regional and international media. Daily monitoring of social networks, with emphasis on mentions of IOM, migration issues, protection and associated trends. Immediate alerts when critical issues related to mobility, protection risks or sensitive mentions of the IOM arise. This support will strengthen the organization's decision-making, strategic communication and risk management. The selected Online Volunteer will be supervised and provided with the necessary guidance before beginning the contribution. At the end of the support, the volunteer will receive a certificate of recognition for the support provided. At the end of the collaboration, they will receive an evaluation and a certificate of appreciation issued by UNV.
